I rarely get into gadgets when it comes to playing, but I came across this and just had to see what it was about. Since I've always been more comfortable playing flexible nylon picks, I wasn't sure how a large pick like this would work for me, but how often do you see flashing picks? So, says I, hell with it, I'll order one.
First off, the thing turns on and I'm just tickled silly--felt like a kid with a cool new toy. The LCD's were more detailed than I expected.
It felt a little cumbersome for about a minute, but then something just clicked and it got more and more comfortable. After playing with it for awhile, I noticed that it actually refined my picking, because you can't turn it sideways and cheat like you can with regular picks. It's actually helping in terms of precision with speed picking, and when you're downpicking a lot it looks pretty cool! Someone commented, "You can really see all the stuff you're doing with your rhythm parts now."
